Dormie ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Dormie mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

Account Information When you create an account, we collect:

Name (display name)
Email address
Phone number (optional)

If you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email (or Apple's private relay email if you choose "Hide My Email").

Golf Data When you use the app, we collect:

Tournament and round information you create
Golf scores entered by you or other players in your group
Handicap index (optional)
Course selections

Friends & Contacts If you grant permission, we access your device contacts to help you add players to tournaments. We do not store your full contact list — only the names and phone numbers of players you choose to add.

Device Information We collect your device push notification token to send you notifications when players join your tournaments.

Advertising Measurement To understand whether our advertising brings new golfers to Dormie, the app includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK, which reports basic app-usage events to Meta: when the app is installed and opened, when a tournament is created, and when a round is started. These events describe the shape of what happened (for example, the number of rounds or players) and never include your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or golf scores. If you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt, these events include your device's advertising identifier so Meta can attribute the install to an ad; if you do not allow tracking, no advertising identifier is shared.

To enable real-time scoring with other players
To send push notifications about tournament activity
To display your profile to other players in your tournaments
To measure whether our advertising brings new golfers to Dormie

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Supabase — our backend provider that stores your account and tournament data
Apple — for Sign in with Apple authentication and subscription management
Meta (Facebook) — receives the advertising-measurement events described above, under Meta's Privacy Policy. You can withdraw tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Other players — your display name and scores are visible to other members of your tournaments

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with row-level security policies. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Local data on your device is stored in the app's sandboxed storage.

Your Rights

You can:

Update your profile information at any time in the app
Delete your account and all associated data from the Profile screen
Request a copy of your data by contacting us

Children's Privacy

Dormie is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
